U25 Clinic and XC Schooling Day

Wednesday, July 20th, 2022

Stevens Creek Farm

6439 Second Line Rd
Kars, ON

The OEA is pleased to offer riders in the Ottawa area, and U25 riders, a chance to school cross-country on the courses at Stevens Creek Farm. Participants will receive instruction in small groups from renowned Master Trainer LORRAINE LAFRAMBOISE.

$50 per horse/rider combination.

  • All riders must wear approved helmets, body protectors and correct footwear.
  • OE membership required.
  • Limit of one horse per rider.

SCHEDULE: Priority in the morning will be given to riders who are registered in the OEA’s U25 Program (Pre-Training and above). Where space allows, OEA members at higher levels, not registered in the U25 program, will be included in the morning program.

In the afternoon, the OEA Schooling Day is available to riders at all levels seeking to try their hand at Eventing. Lorraine will run supervised schooling in small groups based on horse and rider’s experience and capabilities. The Schooling Day format encourages riders who wish to try their hand at Eventing for the first time. No OEA membership is required to take part in an OEA Schooling Day.

Schooling Day participants riding with their own coach will be added to the schedule as convenient throughout the day and at the discretion of the OEA and the host organizer, ensuring that there are never too many horses/riders on the XC course at any one time.

A final schedule for the day will be emailed to all confirmed riders prior to the day.

Entries open on June 27 and close on July 17 (or when the Schooling Day/Clinic fills up). The decision to close registrations early will be made at the discretion of the OEA in consultation with the Organizer and the OEA clinician. If the day has filled up in advance of the closing date and you are unable to register, please contact Sarah Richardson to be put on a waiting list (maeander@gmail.com).

*** If you are trailering with another horse/rider and/or would like to be grouped together (at the same level) we need to know when you register, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Ultimately, clinic groupings will be at the discretion of the OEA. If you miss your assigned time, we cannot guarantee that you will be added to a later group. ***

CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds can be given after the closing date unless the event gets cancelled due to COVID-19. The Organizer has the right to cancel the schooling day/clinic in the case of wet ground if they deem the footing to be unsafe. If this occurs, entries will be refunded.
